2. Extended Warranty Coverage
Customers have the option to purchase extended warranty coverage beyond the initial limited warranty period. The extended warranty must be purchased before the original warranty expires or pay a fee to renew the warranty after it has lapsed (see 3. Lapsed Coverage Fee). The extended warranty provides the same coverage as the limited warranty unless otherwise stated in that extended warranty policy.

3. Lapsed Warranty Coverage
3.1 Warranty expired less than one (1) year ago
3.2 Warranty expired more than one (1) year ago
Warranties that have lapsed more than one (1) year ago can be renewed. A Lapsed Coverage Fee will be added to the cost of the extended warranty. This fee accounts for each billing period that has been missed following the expiration of the previous warranty. The Lapsed Coverage Fee must be paid in full prior to the warranty being reissued.
The following conditions apply to the Lapsed
Coverage Fee:
- Fee Calculation: The fee will be calculated as $100 reinstatement fee plus $25 for Gold warranties or $35 for Platinum warranties times the number of months that have passed since the previous warranty lapsed (rounded up to the next full month). E.g., $100 + ($25/$35 x # of mos.)
- Fee Calculation Example: Gold warranty expired on November 22, 2023 and is renewed on January 6, 2025
- $100 + ($25 x 14) = $450
- Coverage Limitations: Provided the Lapsed Coverage Fee has been paid, any defects in the Product will be covered as if the warranty had not lapsed.
- Grace Period: If the customer requests renewal within seven (7) days of the warranty expiration, a grace period may apply, during which the Lapsed Coverage Fee can be waived or reduced at the discretion of LPI.
- Coverage Period: Upon payment of the Lapsed Coverage Fee, warranty coverage will be reinstated on the date of the payment and continue for the length of the extended warranty.
